Timothée Chalamet & Steve Carell launch 'Beautiful Boy' at CinemaCon 2018.

Timothée Chalamet is currently in London (presumably involved in pre-production duties for his titular role of King Henry V in Netflix's upcoming film, 'The King'), but that didn't stop him from skyping into CinemaCon held in Las Vegas today to help Steve Carell premiere a scene from Amazon's 'Beautiful Boy' - a film about a father and his troubled son's journey recovering from addiction, adapted from two memoirs, David Sheff’s biography 'Beautiful Boy: A Father’s Journey Through His Son’s Addiction' and Nick Sheff's 'Tweak: Growing Up On Methamphetamines'.

Steve Carell says #BeautifulBoy shows no "easy answers" re: addiction - "this is not presented as the cinematic version of this problem or relationship, and that feels very true to me, and real." Praises Timothee Chalamet as "one of the most profound young people I've ever met."

Chalamet answers a question at length, his Skype audio dropping out every third word. Upon finishing, Carell says: “Rest assures that whatever Timothy said just then was very articulate.”
