About her songwriting, Rodrigo says: "I really love women who are not afraid to speak their mind and tell their perspective... Lots of my songs are literally about crying, which is very Pisces, but I'm a little angsty, too. I'm never the type of person who's like, ‘Oh, it's the girl's fault that this guy did something wrong to me. It's never made sense logically in my head, and I don't subscribe to that mindset."
