Listen: a snippet of a new Halsey song.

Currently working on new music, Halsey fans have been anxiously checking her social media in hopes of a snippet - and they were given a slight tease via her Snapchat account recently.

The snippet has received praise for the use of female pronouns, with the lyrics as follows: “Got a girl with California eyes, and I thought she could really be the one this time, but I never got the chance to make it…“

Halsey also recently posted a tweet on Twitter talking about her new music creation, saying, “Every single day I write a song that blows me away. Never been more proud of anything. I”m swelling. I promise it will be worth the wait.”
